I profiled Twin Cities musician Jayanthi Kyle whose song “Hand in Hand” was adopted as an unofficial anthem of the local Black Lives Matter movement. This story received a first place honor from the Minnesota Society of Professional Journalists for best radio feature in 2017. I also produced a longer version for the BBC’s Cultural Frontline.
