Monumental

Monumental is a 10-episode anthology podcast series from PRX that takes a fresh look at the contested and shifting landscape of monuments and memorials across the greater U.S., with an emphasis on first-person storytelling. 

As senior producer, I managed and supported a geographically far flung team of independent audio producers in creative documentary storytelling. My role was wide ranging and encompassed building and overseeing systems + production processes as well as being an editorial leader on story edits, episode structure and sound design. I scored and assembled sound-rich assembly mixes in Pro Tools and directed voiceover tracking sessions with our series host, Ashley C. Ford, as well as with episode producers. I also contributed field reporting and produced a sound-rich mini-segment on the evolution of George Floyd Square in Minneapolis.
