When American Public Media cut ties with public radio host Garrison Keillor in 2017, his longtime poetry segment, ‘The Writer’s Almanac,’ suddenly disappeared from the airwaves. NPR assigned me to report on how poets and publishers reacted when they lost one of one the single largest distribution platforms for poetry.
